You Are Invited... To SARA's October 30-31 2026 "Halloween" themed launch at the SARA TIMPA launch site near Picture Rocks!

LAUNCH PLAN:
FRIDAY:
3 - 4:00pm = SET UP! (Please plan to arrive in time help set up the range)
4 - 6pm = VOLUNTEER LAUNCH! If you help set up, you get to launch. If you don't you get to watch.
6 - 8pm = Dinner Break: Share your food with fellow rocketeers for a Halloween pot luck.
8 - 10pm = Night Launch. All are invited to participate in this launch
SATURDAY:
7 - 12pm = CONTEST AND HALLOWEEN THEMED rocket launches (See Saturday registration page for details). Regular model and high power launches as well.
12 - 1pm = Tear down! (Please plan to remain at the launch to help tear down the range)
The usual high power waiver will be in place: 4,500' AGL
- Pre-registration is required.
- Attendance will be granted on a first come, first served basis, so sign up as soon as you can.
- There is a waitlist available, so if you make a reservation and can't attend, please cancel your reservation up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund so someone else can use your spot.
- Sign up for a volunteer task (task list on the registration page) to work for an hour during the launch to help keep our launch running smoothly.
- You must be qualified to serve as LCO or RSO, but the other positions are available to anyone.
- Launch operations will cease, if there is not sufficient volunteers!

- If you or anyone in your family are sick or may have been exposed to someone who's sick, stay home.
As always, while a specific waiver altitude and motor limit is expected, field and sky conditions at flight time may dictate restricted operations. Be sure to wear sunscreen, a hat, long pants and long sleeves, closed toe shoes, plenty of water, and always recover rockets with a partner. Watch out for gopher holes, snakes, and other desert hazards when recovering rockets.
