Event Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 4 June 2021

SARA has identified the following terms and conditions for conducting safe model rocket launches. If you do not agree to provide required event registration information, or if you are unwilling to comply with the safety provisions governing this launch, do not attend the launch. By agreeing to these terms and conditions,  you agree to abide by all its provisions at SARA events.

Launch Safety

SARA launches are conducted under the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) safety codes. Please read and understand the NAR safety codes for model rocketry and high power rocketry.

The Range Safety Officer has the absolute authority on all matters of range safety, including, but not limited to, approval of rockets for flight, access to launch range, and conduct at the launch event.  I will abide by the RSO's rulings without complaint.

Participate at Your Own Risk

I agree to hold harmless from all claims Southern Arizona Rocketry Association, its board members, the National Association of Rocketry, Tripoli Rocketry Association, TIMPA, and the City of Tucson.

Public Health Precautions

Public Health precautions will change over time, depending on available information from local, state, or federal public health officials.  For any given event, SARA will indicate in the description any deviation from basic common sense rules always in effect:

  • If you or anyone in your family are sick or may have been exposed to someone who's sick, stay home.
  • Consider staying home if you or any family member is at an increased risk of COVID-19 complication
